Can I visit Canoelands Brewery?
The brewery at Canoelands is private, so there are no tours there, but visits to the Stonehouse brewery are welcome. Book a time with the brewery visit form and we will get back to you to confirm when you can come through.
Where can I buy Canoelands beer?
Barber’s Brew, Talkin’ Cheese and Your Dreamin’ are listed in our shop at $10.00 each. Send an order enquiry and we will confirm availability, collection or delivery, and payment by email. The Stonehouse Café in Maroota is the home base for Canoelands beers.
What beers do you brew?
Six originals: Barber’s Brew (porter ale, 4.9%), Talkin’ Cheese (pilsner lager, 5.0%), Your Dreamin’ (pale ale, 5.25%), What’s The Buzz (honey beer, 4.9%), Maroota Roota (pale ale, 5.3%) and Ranga’s Revenge (Australian ale, 6.0%). See Our Beers for tasting notes and food pairings.
Which beer goes best with pizza?
Barber’s Brew is made for tomato and onion based pizzas, Ranga’s Revenge pairs well with any type of pizza, and Talkin’ Cheese loves cheese, meat or pizza.
Where is Canoelands?
Canoelands is a suburb of northern Sydney, NSW, about 60 kilometres north of the Sydney CBD, in the local government areas of Hornsby Shire and The Hills Shire. Our property backs on to Marramarra National Park. See the map.
Where is the Stonehouse Café?
At 1370 Wisemans Ferry Rd, Maroota NSW 2756, on the tourist drive between Windsor and Wisemans Ferry. It is open 7 days for pizza, burgers and great coffee. Directions and map.
What brewing system do you use?
A Brewiks brewing system, manufactured by Mithraeum, which brews about 200 to 300 litres of finished beer per batch. John Brennan trained on the same system in Slovenia with Denis of the Vizir brewery.
Can I buy a Brewiks system through you?
Yes. If you want to brew your own beer, you can buy the Brewiks system through us. Download the brochures and send the Brewiks enquiry form on the Our Brewery page and we will contact you.
Do I need to be 18 to order?
Yes. Alcohol is only supplied to people aged 18 and over, and we may ask for ID on collection or delivery.
