About Us

The Brennan family is a known hairdressing family of three generations on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. In 2012 the brennans moved to Dural  in Northwest Sydney 2014 saw the purchase off 25 acres at Caneolands

The property backs on to the Mara Mara National Park, it was here that Canoelands brewery was born. John Brennan has spent a lot of time researching the science of beer.

The research included a trip too Slovenia, John spent time in the Vizir brewery working closely with Denis and the Damir  another Family brewery. Many unique International beer recipes were created.

Son-in-law Ryan Dixon has also had  big input into research and recipe creation, Ryan will be overseeing  many of the brews from Canoelands Brewery

In December 2015, the family purchased the Stonehouse brew Café, it is here where Canoelands Brewery will launch and produce it’s beers.
